We have an opening for a North America-based Associate Medical Director to manage a full range of high-quality medical communications services and effectively balance the elements of project management and leadership with the flexibility to write and edit during peak time. This role will also include:
* Being the source of scientific understanding for the account
* Mentoring more junior writers on the team by providing support on client and project issues
* Building strong relationships with clients and acting as the primary point of contact for project deliverables
* Challenging traditional thinking in order to innovate and meet client expectations
* Supporting organic growth


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:
* An advanced science degree is required
* Several years of experience as a medical writer working on publications
* Broad medical communication skills to help across the business
* Experience leading projects and reviewing the work of medical writers, with the aim of ensuring high quality and professional growth
* Ability to think, solve problems, and build great relationships
* Excellent quality control, time management, project management, and briefing / reviewing skills
