The salary range for this position is $20 per hour.

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

We are currently seeking a Marketing Intern (work from home)

This position will work 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, and some weekends and evenings may be required during times of business need. Travel will also be involved up to 20% of the time.

Pay will be $20 per hour.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

The Training Services Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain work experience in a non-profit organization. During the 10-week program, students receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2024 Summer Internship program will run from May 29, 2024, through August 2, 2024.

The Marketing Programs Intern will work with the Marketing team on several key projects. The projects will include performing marketing research on identified market segments in order to develop recommendations and plans to support sales into the identified segments. This research will include identifying specific channels that includes associations, trade shows and social media groups. The individual will conduct a variety of research to provide data insights for targeted industries, analyze past program results, identify trends, suggest improvements, and support rollout of implementation. The intern may perform other administrative projects as identified by the marketing team including the development of a Grant process to support the administrative needs to support the delivery of training to execute on the commitments of these grants.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

  • May support unit with research projects. Understanding of Marketing
  • Collaborate on project implementation, evaluation multiple options and perspectives and exposure to DE&I best practices and compliance with Red Cross brand and diversity guidelines
  • Understand nonprofit environment and exposure
  • Campaign development. Analyze data, presents facts and recommends solutions.
  • Marketing communications.
  • Receive guidance, training and mentoring from staff in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
  • Perform unit-specific responsibilities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications) A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required:

Education: High School or equivalentrequired. Internship is typically part of an undergraduate program which requires some university credit hours. Junior student and majors preferred (Business, Marketing, Analytics or Communications)
Experience: Up to 1 year of related experience.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Telemarketing skills a plus
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Salesforce application preferred.
  • Ability to work on a team.
