Overview

Job Purpose


The New York Stock Exchange (an Intercontinental Exchange company) is seeking a results oriented, self-motivated individual to join the Technology Capacity and Performance Management (CPM) team in New York.


This individual will be joining a team working in a cutting edge high throughput, low latency trading environment and responsible for the implementation and management of the application capacity and performance management framework for all NYSE Group subsidiaries. CPM engages with product teams to assess current capacity and planning capabilities, define monitoring data requirements and metrics, perform data collection and analysis, and monitor and forecast system performance and capacity.

The successful candidate is required to demonstrate technical problem solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to comfortably multitask and work in a mission critical environment.

Responsibilities

* Data Acquisition & Analysis
* Identify data requirements and metrics to support the monitoring and reporting of system capacity and performance.
* Onboard new tools and data sets and perform the requisite data transformations and analytics to support CPM monitoring and reporting.
* Use statistical analysis and modeling skills to monitor trends and model future capacity needs.
* Provide assistance with production investigations and resolution of technical issues and/or problems impacting business services or individual customers.
* Collaborate with technology leads to develop system changes designed to improve capacity and performance.
* Business Intelligence Dashboards & Reporting
* Establish and maintain dashboards and reports showing current and projected capacity and performance for all business services and applications.
* Develop customized reports for product teams to support service delivery and customer engagement.

Knowledge and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
* 2-4 or more years of experience in Performance Engineering and Capacity Planning of highly available and scalable application infrastructures.
* Experience using databases and statistical modeling techniques to perform data analysis techniques.
* Experience with high level scripting languages (e.g. Python) to support data analysis and reporting.
* Experience with business intelligence or data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Splunk).
* Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and Multicast data flow .
* A team player with a passion for building a culture of innovation and flawless execution.
* Excellent communications skills
* Prior experience with high through-put and low latency systems, particularly High Frequency/Trading applications desirable.
* Experience using Grafana or Tableau or QuickSight for BI dashboards and visualization desirable.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.

Base Salary Range for New York Candidates

The expected base salary for this role is between 106,000 - 203,500 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
