Job Description
What this job involves:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks, including light carpentry, painting, carpet and ceiling tile repairs and replacements, cove base repair and replacement, hanging signs, repair and re-key locks, minor drywall repairs, and general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to ensure that our sites are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

What your day-to-day will look like:
Complete light carpentry work, such as building shelves, repairing doors, and installing new hardware.
Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed.
Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery.
Inspect and maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of the areas and work under your responsibility
Assist with setting up and dismantling furniture and equipment for meetings or events.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency and communicate all issues back to the customer
Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment and ensure they are in good working condition.
Follow all OSHA and account safety guidelines and protocols when handling tools, chemicals, and equipment.
Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete larger projects or repairs as well as other duties as assigned.

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills
Required Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:
Proven experience as a Handyman or similar role, preferably in a commercial or business setting
Strong knowledge and experience in multiple areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance.
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
