The Team

AQR is looking for an exceptionally talented business school student to join the US Institutional team within the Business Development group. The successful candidate will work alongside senior members of the team to build upon AQR's presence, with a focus on developing new and maintaining existing relationships with institutional clients in the United States.

Your Role

  • Focus on a broad range of activities including identifying and developing new business and strengthening relationships with existing clients both independently and in support of senior relationship managers
  • Highly visible position involving frequent interaction with the world's most sophisticated investors, as well as senior investment management professionals
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all AQR products, the functions and responsibilities of key employees, as well as a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Significant involvement in business strategy including new product development, new business lines and new geographies
  • Liaise with other members of Business Development to leverage the firm's intellectual capital and customize marketing materials for prospects and existing clients
  • Active participation with investment teams
  • Meaningful travel expected

What You'll Bring

  • Deep interest in and strong understanding of finance, statistics and investing theory and practice
  • Exceptional academic performance demonstrating achievement and commitment to excellence
  • Strong self-awareness with the ability to empathize and understand others
  • CFA, or a desire to pursue CFA designation strongly preferred
