Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a S enior Data Engineer Data Lake Platform (Engineer) with our Global Insurance client in their Warren, NJ location. This is a 6 month + contract and hybrid remote position. This position requires 2- 3 days per week in office and must reside within a 1-hour commute of the Warren, NJ office.
Summary: As a senior data engineer you will be responsible for loading and transforming data within the Data Lake environment while ensuring data quality and consistency.

Summary: As a senior data engineer you will be responsible for loading and transforming data within the Data Lake environment while ensuring data quality and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of an agile team to design and develop frameworks for loading and transforming data in Data Lake using Azure Cloud technologies. (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Databricks).
- Work closely with architecture team to implement new Cloud data technologies.
- Optimize and improve performance of existing data ingestion and transformation processes. (ADF, SQL, Databricks).
- Make improvements to existing data processes to automate and enhance data quality.
- Redesign existing on-premises data processes using cloud technologies.
Requirements:
- DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, SQL, Data Lake Architecture, Azure DevOps Repos/ Git
- 3+ years of experience with data engineering in a Data Lake environment.
