Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Marketing Analyst.

NYULH is seeking a strategic, results-oriented, and driven Sr. Marketing Analyst to join our Communications & Marketing (C&M) department. This position will be responsible for analyzing marketing and communications campaign performance across digital platforms, helping advance the institutional vision, performance excellence, and audience engagement.
Reporting to the Performance Insights, Analytics, and Reporting Lead (Associate Director), this position will play a critical role in supporting NYULHs C&M Program Measurement through cross-team and cross-department collaboration. This position will reinforce and contribute to the data-driven culture set by the Performance Insights, Analytics & Reporting Lead. In addition, this candidate will also be responsible for presenting insights to leadership teams and managing agency/vendor relationships. By executing data and analytics processes, this position will enable leaders across C&M to action on and adjust strategies in response to analytics-driven and trend-based recommendations.
This role will be accountable for analytics strategy & vision across our department, answering questions like how can we operationalize our reporting and provide education & enablement across the teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Analytics and Insights:

    • Ensure performance data is properly measured and analyzed to gauge effectiveness
    • Track campaign effectiveness through backend development tools and analytics to provide actionable insights
    • Support data analysis by extracting meaningful insights from large and complex datasets to identify trends and areas of improvement
    • Provide data-driven insights that can be translated into actionable recommendations
    • Communicate key findings, analyze performance trends, and provide recommendations to the Performance Insights, Analytics, & Reporting Lead
    • Participate in the analysis of C&M's current state processes; support identification of areas where there are inefficiencies and design optimized solutions in collaboration with the Performance Insights, Analytics & Reporting Lead
    • Provide inputs to the Performance Insights, Analytics & Reporting Lead to support development of standardized reports
    • Leverage digital marketing and healthcare best practices to stay up to date with the latest trends in performance measurement and data analysis
    • Responsibilities will include approximately 50% requirements gathering, prioritization management, documentation governance and workflow integration + 50% reporting, dashboarding, insight generation and education/enablement
    • Ownership of reporting QA to ensure consistency across platforms
    • Act as the analytics liaison for external agencies vendors & partners; expert in speaking both technical & non-technical languages
    • Take initiative and lead on analytics projects when we are engaging vendors and RFP process

Operational Excellence:

    • Efficiently and effectively execute goals and priorities while adhering to organizational standards for delivering excellent work
    • Contribute to NYULH's continuous improvement culture and demonstrate a willingness to test-and-learn
    • Ensure seamless communication alignment within a complex institution encompassing multiple campuses and geographic regions

Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Make high-level recommendations, which are then discussed to Marketing managers for synthesis and reporting
    • Collaborate with leadership to implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide actionable insights and support a culture of data-driven decision making
    • Promote and maintain a consistent focus on effectiveness and results-based decision making within C&M

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in business, economics, digital marketing, analytics or related field.
5+ years experience in a data analytics or digital marketing role.
Management of multiple analytics projects end-to-end e.g. dashboard lifecycle.
Experience measuring marketing and communications campaign effectiveness based on pre-defined campaign success metrics, such as appointment conversions, number of file downloads, page stickiness, etc. across various digital platforms, including our intranet, nyulangone.org, med.nyu.edu, social media, and more.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply and communicate data-driven insights .
Strategic mindset focused on learning and executing new ways to track outcomes and gain efficiencies.
Demonstrates a willingness to continually learn and improve.
Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Proven experience working with large and complex datasets.
Strong digital marketing analytics skills, such as but not limited to web analytics, contextual advertising, email, AI/ML, surveys, big data, data-driven decision making, customer data management, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM).
Experience collecting both business and technical requirements for analyses.
Strong background with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Datorama, Domo.
3-5 years experience working with Clickstream web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, HEAP or Amplitude.
Experience with tracking codes, branded links, deep-links and QR code development.
Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of SQL required.

Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years experience in data analytics or digital marketing role.
Masters degree in data science, business, economics, digital marketing, analytics or related field.
Management experience, managing junior analysts.
Previous exposure to healthcare communications and datasets (e.g. Epic, Clarity).
Experience with ROI analyses.
Strong foundation of constructing measurement plans.
Familiarity with statistical, programmatic and algorithmic attribution models and how to apply them (Python, R, SPSS).
Understanding of supporting digital marketing technology systems such as DSPs, ESPs, DMPs, Google, Bing, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, marketing pixels, video and social platforms.
A curious, organized, methodical, and proactive mind. You like to use substantiated data to both identify and solve problems, rather than trust your gut alone, you can explain your work clearly both in person and in writing with strong communication skills.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $135,541.73 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
