What You'll Get to Do:

PMO Leadership

  • Facilitates among the PMO stakeholders and organizational leadership a consensus around the mission and vision of the PMO organization to foster a project-management-oriented culture and mindset
  • Leads the identification and development of PMO roles, team configuration and recruitment appropriate to deliver the agreed-upon PMO goals and objectives
  • Leads the identification and implementation of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards in order to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery
  • Facilitates the agreed-upon process that develops plans and prioritization by leadership and governance
  • Defines, manages and directs the needed end-to-end PMO work effort, which includes leveraging best practices and techniques in identifying, quantifying and tracking the realization of expected benefits defined in business cases
  • Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to PMO staff and project managers
  • Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key PMO stakeholders, and acts as a trusted advisor
  • Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve the project management best practices in order to achieve higher maturity in PPM
  • Leads the establishment of a project management community of practice to facilitate collaboration and best-practice sharing among project managers and key PMO stakeholders

Business Relationship Management

  • Lead a team of experienced business relationship managers
  • Drive transformation in the team to maximize strategic outcomes
  • Provide tools and guidance for them to be successful in selling partnership services
  • Establish a standard framework for BRM engagement and delivery
  • Participate in redesigning the BRM engagement model

Financial Management

  • Monitor progress of our billing objectives on a monthly basis
  • Working with our finance team, accountable for the accurate billing of project resources
  • Produce and manage dashboards of relevant project portfolio KPI performance

Basic Qualifications

  • Indirect supervisory responsibilities of 6 or more project managers, associates or team members
  • Management of projects as well as staff related to specific project assignments
  • Manage financial budgets related to solution design
  • Manage resource plans and capacities, assigning specific resources to projects
  • Set and ensure compliance with project related policies, processes, and procedures as well as application governance standards
What You'll Bring:
Education and Experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience required
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in IT and business industry
  • Five to seven years of leadership responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience with one or more project mgmt. methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, etc.)
  • Program management skills and experience, plus significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the PMO vision and motivate and inspire PMO staff
  • A distinctive blend of business, IT, financial, and communication skills, this is a highly visible position with substantial impact
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units
  • Deep understanding of emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic resource plan

  • Solicits information on enterprise direction, goals and strategy to determine how the PMO function can add value to the organization and to customer satisfaction
  • Makes decisions and recommendations clearly linked to the organization's strategy and financial goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics

  • Acts as the organizational change agent for improving PPM maturity and practices, in support of business and agency goals and strategy
  • Mobilizes others within and outside the PMO to support and enable change efforts within individual initiatives and inside business and operations units

The salary range of$155K-$170K isjust one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
