The firm is seeking an HRIS Analyst to become an integral part of our Human Resources Department, reporting to the HRIS Manager.  This Role operates on a Hybrid schedule, including in-person days in the New York, NY Office.

          The primary focus of this position is the enhancement, support, and maintenance of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system and to be the key liaison to the functional areas that use Workday HCM:  Administrative Staff HR, Legal Staff HR /Professional Development, Benefits, Payroll, Legal Recruiting, and those fulfilling these HR functions in 9 global offices.

          This individual serves as a business process and technical point-of-contact for the above functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, security, documentation, integration, and business process improvement. The HRIS Analyst also manages the two annual major Workday Releases and testing and serves in a project coordinator role for new and enhanced functionality implementations. Workday System Administration, Configuration as well as Workday Payroll configuration experience are highly desirable

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • System Maintenance (25% of time) - Assist in the review, testing and implementation of two annual major Workday Releases as well as the regular weekly updates. Collaborate with functional staff to coordinate application of updates that affect their functional area. Document process and results. Collaborate with Information Services staff for testing of custom integrations.  Maintain and update security roles and groups as needed.
  • Data Stewardship & Production Support (25% of time) – Provide support for Workday HCM including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, including data integrity issues, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities to identify data integrity issues; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.  Facilitate regular meeting among functional areas that leverage the Workday HCM system. Communicate regularly with functional areas to resolve data integrity issues and provide coaching to prevent recurrence. Coordinate with Information Services staff for custom integration issue resolution. 
  • System Enhancement/Process Improvement (25% of time) – Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation as a system enhancement. Serve as a key liaison with functional areas, other stakeholders and third parties. Coordinates new Workday functionality implementation or business process enhancement projects, including creating test scripts and facilitating appropriate testing with functional areas. May provide overall project coordination/management for a given HRMS initiative.
  • Reports/Queries (15% of time) – Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Training (5% of time) – Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train functional areas on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.
  • Individual Development (5% of time) – Maintain awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on Workday product and service development, delivery and support, and applying the technology. Through Workday Community, classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and Workday HCM application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of HRIS experience.
  • Experience with an HCM system such as Workday or PeopleSoft.
  • Systems implementation experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR, Benefits, and Payroll processes and data.
  • Strong understanding of HRMS database design, structure, functions, and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Workday System Administration and Configuration experience  highly desired
  • Workday Payroll configuration experience highly desired
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.
  • One to two years of project management experience preferred.
