Job Description

Cloud Support Engineers are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues, ensuring high availability, and maintaining the integrity of the cloud environment. Their expertise is crucial in organizations that require robust and scalable cloud infrastructures to support their operations and growth.  And be responsible for implementing new environments in the Cloud.

Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Report directly to the Director of Managed Services
  • Implementing new Cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure related issues
  • Maintain Cloud environment.
  • Support managed service operations.
  • Log time each week in corporate time-tracking system;
  • Travel on occasion, to customer and partner sites;
  • Maintain company and customer information confidential at all times;
  • Log time each week in our time-tracking system;
  • Take on other responsibilities and assignments as from time to time requested by management.

Required Skills and Abilities:  

  • Experience in a managed services customer facing environment.
  • 5+ years of Google cloud experience with heavy focus on networking, such as building VPCs and VPNs.
  • 5+ years of support Redhat Linux in a cloud environment
  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar products
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud and on prem storage.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Experience with Perl and or python scripting
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience with mentoring junior team members
  • Microsoft Windows server experience

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized and detailed, with a "perfectionist" approach to work;
  • Flexible and able to adapt to frequently changing standards and priorities;
  • Customer advocate, working hard to ensure customer success and satisfaction;
  • Oral and written fluency in English.

Physical & Mental Qualifications:

  • All positions require the ability to work on a computer for at least eight (8) hours per day. This includes fine and gross manipulation (typing and utilizing the mouse), looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time, visual acuity (reading off of a computer screen). This also includes the ability to sit and stand for a combined period of at least eight (8) hours per day.
  • All positions require minimum and infrequent lifting requirements (laptop).
  • No positions require walking requirements apart from the travel and commute as stated in this section.
  • All positions require the ability to talk on the phone.
  • Most positions require occasional travel.
  • All positions require the ability to focus on numerous tasks and project requirements throughout and eight (8) hour workday.
  • All positions require the ability to work, communicate, and collaborate with team members, peers, clients, vendors, and other entities that the Company maintains business relationships with.
