Position Summary

The SVP, Group Media Director, Investment is a senior client group role that manages client media spends. This person must act as the integrated buying advisor for Mediahub clients by driving collaboration, excellence, and quality of product across all channels to deliver the most strategic, holistic, and integrated investment solutions.

The SVP, Group Media Director, Investment will lead the Partnership Investment team. The Partnership team brings together all of investment within one group to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach for our clients and our agency. Responsibilities

Portfolio and Growth

* Build and strengthen senior client relationships as a business partner and thought leader to their organizations, resulting in top tier TRR score/client satisfaction.
* Demonstrate understanding of client's business/category and can apply to role of media.
* Win new business revenue through cross-functional team direction, client relationship-building, strategy development with Analytics and Insights + Action, etc., and by delivering energetic and effective presentations.
* Effectively sell ideas that contribute to positive agency evaluations and creative media tactics.
* Elevate client work with the agency and partner with Growth and Comms team to submit for awards and recognition.
* Build and strengthen our DE&I practices both internally and with our clients.

Investment Strategy

* Strengthen and expand client relationships via thought direction, responsiveness, and innovation.
* Actively present recommendations and support Business Leadership in response to client challenges.
* Guide communication with clients on marketplace, negotiation strategies, and thought leadership across media channels and media landscape.
* Support Business Leadership for client recommendations, plan recaps, and QBRs.
* Develop CREATIVE, cross-channel partnership solutions.
* Provide pro-active guidance on client investments - new media opportunities, sponsorships, partnerships, and data focused ideas.
* Accountable for facilitating alignment with Kinesso and Business Leadership on buying approach (direct/prog/integrated) and be the point of contact to lead buys.
* Elevate media partner relationships to drive client opportunities, first looks, and break through barriers.
* Manage teams to deliver award-winning work and never stop innovating.
* Inspire teams to push boundaries and exhibit the core behaviors of Mediahub.
* Facilitate self-education through industry events, cross-training and rotational opportunities, and regular consumption and dialogue around industry news and developments.
* Committed engagement with MAGNA council and MBIS to develop marketplace approach, planning costs, and preferred partnerships.
* Communicate all MAGNA key partnership to teams.

People and Culture

* Provides senior level mentorship that motivates and encourages innovation and creativity throughout all projects by serving as a role model across all groups/teams.
* Provide Partnership teams with senior management perspectives, insights, and goals.
* Model creativity, inclusion, and curiosity when presenting and discussing industry updates, Mediabrands capabilities, and client work with extended teams.
* Provide transparency, teaching, and development support to direct reports to give yourself back-up support and enable succession planning.
* Act as team and office (if hybrid) leader of culture with local office employees with a community engagement approach. Be a visible and accessible agency leader and participation in on-site learning, vendor visit, and social activities.
* Elevate client work within the agency and partner with Growth and Comms teams to submit for awards and recognition.
* Actively participate in agency DEI trainings and events, ERGs, and ensure recruiting / interviewing / management is unbiased and inclusive.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years' experience.
  • Experience building strong client relationships to develop a trusting partnership and more effectively sell ideas and contribute to positive agency evaluations.
  • Demonstrate a mastery of cross-channel Investment strategy ideally Including Video/Audio, Broadcast/Streaming, Direct and Addressable Digital, social media, Retail Media (if applicable), Print, and OOH.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership capabilities including developing team goals, providing recognition, providing performance feedback, and shaping development plans.
  • Must be a proven national ad agency leader, with record of delivering effective, award-winning work and securing new business and/or driving substantial organic growth.
  • Proven ability to run multiple accounts of $25-50M in billings or large account/portfolio of $75M+ in billings.
  • Hold expert proficiency in relevant areas such as Video and or digital.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of four (4) times/year for client and industry meetings, conferences, and trainings.

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
