Structural/Stress Analyst

Our three divisions, Engineering and Test, Technical Services, and Mission Systems make DTB a diverse, interesting, and challenging place.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform structural analysis of test fixtures for aerospace and other structures.
  • Perform conceptual, preliminary, and final design/analysis of mechanical systems including test fixtures and prototype aerospace structures
  • Interface with support design teams.
  • Evaluate hardware discrepancies to contract requirements and design integrity with the intent of determining proper techncial disposition and justification to customer
  • Prepare and review techncial reports for customer submittal and approval
  • Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required
  • Acts independently to determine improve methods and/or procedures to optimize techncial product, cost, and schedule requirements

The ideal candidate will need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable
  • 5 years' experience in structural analysis, fatigue, fracture mechanics and dynamic stress analysis
  • Familiarity with conceptual design of structures, load paths, test concept development and test plan preparation in conjunction with customer interface support and support test data analysis
  • Knowledge of ANSYS and AutoCAD Inventor a plus
  • US Citizenship is required
