Position Description

Medical Assistant
Family Health Center at North General
New York, NY 10035

Requirements:

HS Diploma or GED required.

Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant school required.

Current BCLS required.

Certificate as a Phlebotomist or EKG technician preferred.

Minimum of one year experience working as a Medical Assistant required.

Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills required.

Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities:

Screen and prepare patients to be seen by the doctor.

Demonstrated competence in auditory and visual testing, EKG, venipuncture, and taking vitals.

Demonstrated basic computer skills including typing required.
